Witch Hazel Flower Essence

Sold out

This special essence was more than a year in the making: After planting a baby witch hazel bush in the spring and watering it daily through the summer, Ava was ready to say goodbye to the bush in the fall, certain it hadn't made it and would not survive the winter. But come spring, she found the bush alive with sweet witch hazel blooms! Ava made the essence in a quartz crystal geode half, which not only serves as a bowl, but also helps to amplify the properties of the essence.

Indications

Arachnophobia (fear of spiders), fear of witches and witchcraft, worry that one is under psychic attack or a spell, past-life recall or suspicion of having been burned on a stake. On a physical plane: varicose veins, poor blood circulation.

Emotional and spiritual effects

Witch hazel is an essence for overcoming arachnophobia (fear of spiders) and fear of witchcraft, and it can be very useful to people who possess healing gifts about which they are uncomfortable or ambivalent. For example, people who sense they have special intuitive, psychic, or clairvoyant abilities, or other gifts for non-Western healing modalities or magic, but who are uncomfortable with the idea of being considered a "witch" or a "wizard" by the public. This essence can help a person embrace such gifts and figure out the best way to use them, allowing them to feel at peace with themselves and the world.

Witch hazel is also said to have the quality of uniting opposite forces—a quality that Ava witnessed firsthand when she used it in her children's bath, and saw them play agreeably without fighting for at least 45 minutes.

Physical plane

Witch hazel is used widely by herbalists for varicose veins, poor blood circulation, water retention in the legs, and for feeling physically sluggish. Take this essence alongside Horse Chestnut essence for these concerns, and use a few drops at a time topically on the affected areas at least once a day.

Sources

Some findings inspired by David Dalton's research into the use of this flower essence in clinical practice.
