Zinnia is an interesting flower essence with many practical uses. While we recommend taking many essences as a course of treatment—the whole bottle over the course of a month or two—this essence can just be kept on hand to use as needed, or can be used only on weekends, or just on vacations. The effect of this flower is a sense of lightheartedness and joy in everyday life, whether we are cooking dinner and doing laundry for our family, or doing our least favorite chores; see below for even more details on when this flower can be beneficial. The zinnia Ava chose for this essence was grown organically and is the pink variety.
Approaching life with too much seriousness, an overly somber attitude; focusing one's energies on intellectual activities and overlooking joy and play; difficulty relaxing into the present moment; difficulty relaxing into playing with children; difficulty understanding children's point of view; wanting a more lighthearted, forgiving, relaxed attitude toward life; seeking a lighter attitude toward one's sex life; seeking to unwind deeply on vacation.
With the zinnia flower essence, we connect with our inner lighthearted child. Zinnia instills a sense of adventure and possibility, and helps one be in the present moment. Zinnia is helpful with depression, heaviness of heart, sadness, excessive seriousness, and difficulty relaxing when playing with children. It can also greatly help parents and caregivers to tune into their children's minds and hearts to understand them better.
For depression or grief, consider taking zinnia alongside borage, which is uplifting and gives us more courage, or take zinnia with wild pink rose or yellow primrose.
For recovering a childlike innocence and lightness of being, you can take pineapple herb or yellow buttercup essences alongside the zinnia.
For a carefree, relaxed approach to your sex life, take zinnia alongside oriental poppy. For a more fiery sex life, take it alongside nasturtium or our red poppy.
For easy creative flow without self-judgment, combine zinnia with iris or red poppy.
Shake the bottle before each use. Take 3 drops at a time onto the tongue or mixed with water 3–4 times a day, between meals and not with coffee.
