This essence was made in partial shade, in the flowers' home beneath the tree from which the catkins came. Ava added a bit of the white bark that peels from the trunk of the birch tree constantly, as well as a leaf that decided to wander in.
Identity crisis, lack of clarity, feeling one is at a crossroads, wanting to get insights and guidance from within oneself rather than from outside sources, skin problems, unhappiness with one's skin.
Paper birch can benefit anyone who needs to regain their sense of self; to get back in touch with their core spirit and values. Just as the birch tree regularly sheds its bark, this essence can help a person to shed the "extra layers" in his or her psyche and return to a leaner, simpler existence. For anyone who is feeling overburdened, confused, or overwhelmed by life's many obligations, paper birch can help them to get back in touch with their core and restore a sense of who they really are deep inside.
We recommend the birch essence for psoriasis or eczema that gets worse from dryness, such as a dry climate, not consuming enough liquids, or poor moisture retention. Native Americans often turned to birch to heal and beautify their skin and hair, so we also use the birch essence if someone is experiencing overall unhappiness with their skin or hair for any reason.
Our investigation into this essence was inspired by the books of herbalist Matthew Wood.
