Oregon grape is a mighty wild shrub that grows abundantly in Eastern Washington. The flowers bloom in the spring and are a very bold yellow. This plant is well known to Western and Chinese herbalists due to the high content of berberine in its root.
On the emotional plane: envy, jealousy, chronic irritability. On the physical plane: skin health, skin imperfections and blemishes.
While extractions from the root are the most well-known use of this herb, we recommend the Oregon grape flower essence particularly for healing the liver from chronic tendencies toward envy, jealousy, negativity, and irritability.
An important herb for the liver and gallbladder, Oregon grape improves the digestion of fats and proteins and supports the ongoing detoxification of the liver. It is also recommended for reducing acne and addressing skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis, for weight loss, and for healing of the urinary system.
Shake the bottle before each use. Take 3 drops at a time onto the tongue or mixed with water 3–4 times a day, between meals and not with coffee.
Store away from sun exposure, excessive heat or cold, electronics, and strong scents.
Water, gluten-free brandy (from grapes; a preservative), sun infusion of wild Oregon grape (Mahonia aquifolium). Alcohol 22% by volume.
