Borage doesn't grow in the wild here in the Pacific Northwest, but we planted some of the seeds in our organic garden in order to be able to offer this flower essence, which was handmade by our herbalist, Ava Zhan. Borage is a classic flower essence used by many practitioners and made by many flower essence companies. It has a solid reputation for help with depression and emotional resiliency.
Negative outlook, tendency toward depression, heaviness of spirit, fear of change, fear of life changes and transitions.
The borage flower gives courage when we face difficult situations or embark on a difficult journey, such as anticipating childbirth or a surgery. David Dalton of Delta Gardens Flower Essences used borage to give one more courage to go through a healing journey, whether with flower essences or using other medicines and healing methods. We also recommend borage if one feels fright in particular situations, such as before going to a meeting or before performing on stage. You may first take it regularly for a month or until the first bottle is finished, and then you may only need the essence on an as-needed basis.
Many flower essence practitioners also turn to borage for depressive tendencies, for a heavy heart or spirit. The borage flower makes one feel lighter and more optimistic.
The teachings of David Dalton of Delta Gardens Flower Essences were Ava's first introduction to the healing properties of the borage flower. She agrees with David's take on this essence.
