Pacific Northwest Essences

Voice of Courage Aura Mist

Sold out

This essence blend was created for the person seeking more courage. Courage can mean more than one thing: for some of us it means being able to handle a trying life situation; for some it means shedding a lifelong aspect of our personality of unwelcome, limiting shyness; for others it means wanting once and for all to speak our truth to the world, to our family members and to strangers.

Indications

Facing a scary or brand-new life situation or a challenging but necessary confrontation; painfully shy, difficulty expressing oneself verbally, difficulty expressing one's true nature in public or among new people; wanting to come out of the closet (whatever this term means for you); fear of animals, social anxiety, wanting to be more assertive.

Emotional and spiritual effects

Borage flower essence is a classic first choice for courage, especially when one is dejected or depressed. Bull thistle is one of Ava's favorite essences for boldness and assertiveness (she includes it in many custom blends for children who deal with bullies in school)—it makes a person feel bold, big, and mighty. Witch hazel and paper birch help us project our true nature to the world: witch hazel leads us to understand and accept the parts of us that we think are different, unusual, or weird; and paper birch helps us to peel off layers of unwanted environmental influences and to get in touch with our deeper aspects of personality and our mission in life.

Violets are a classic choice in flower essence literature for social anxiety, timidity, and fearfulness, and blue viola acts on the throat chakra to help with verbal communication challenges—it can help us to speak clearly, eloquently, and without anger.

Sources

The inclusion of borage was inspired by the teachings of David Dalton, and the use of blue viola and paper birch was inspired by the findings of Steve Johnson.
