Many people think that when we go through challenging life events we need courage to endure, but for some hardy individuals who have been through many tough situations, or for people whose natural inclination or ambition leads them to take on major challenges, or for the breadwinner-warriors among us, the hardest thing is to remain patient and loving when we work through big tasks or go through stressful times. For parents, partners, sons, and daughters who strive to be soft—not explosive, cranky, or abrasive—Ava chose a blend that helps decongest the liver (liver is the organ of anger in Traditional Chinese Medicine), and helps people to reconnect with the kindness, sweetness, affection, and tenderness in their hearts.
Adrenal burnout, under a lot of stress, irritable, impatient with others, cranky, a driven or hardworking person who brings themselves to utter exhaustion and has anger outbursts.
The teasel, bull thistle, and Canada thistle are three incredible essences that act on the liver. They are a particularly great match for the strong and driven personality that may have trouble slowing down and being playful, idle, or affectionate, as well as for people who react to stress by being moody and temperamental toward their loved ones.
Paper birch essence was included to remind us who we are deep inside, and mangano calcite, rose quartz, and phlox soften the heart chakra, making us feel safe and loved. White yarrow essence seals and repairs the aura so that the individual going through a challenging time is able to bounce off burdensome energies from the environment.
This is a blend for the liver meridian that encourages ongoing detox and optimal functioning of the liver.
Ava's research into this group of essences was inspired by the work of Steve Johnson and David Dalton.
Shake the bottle before each use. Take 3 drops at a time onto the tongue or mixed with water 3–4 times a day, between meals and not with herbs or coffee.
If using a mist, shake the bottle and spray above your head or around a space of your choice two times a day, or more often if desired.
Store away from sun exposure, excessive heat or cold, electronics, and strong scents.

This was suggested because my mom just passed. I actually just took some evenings are sad for me. It gives me some peace. I really love this company and the customer service is wonderful.
I wouldn't have shared a review because I'm not very comfortable in openly discussing about my personal problems. But I thought my review could help others like me benefit from Ava's brilliant essence blends.
By nature, I always get too cranky and irritable under challenging or stressful situations and work myself up. It's not just my family who suffers due to my temperamental outbursts; I feel exhausted and burnt out in the end too. And no matter how many times I would promise myself to handle situations in a better way in the future, I would invariably end up the same way.
So when Ava sent the Softness in Hardship blend I wasn't too sure how it would help me with my innate nature. Nonetheless, being an ardent fan of Ava's skincare line and having utmost faith in her creations, I tried this custom blend with a positive outlook. I knew the results wouldn't be evident overnight as you would expect with a medicine or any other quick fix; I followed it persistently. With regular use, I think, after about 3 weeks, I started noticing how I could control my emotions to a large extent. There were outbursts but not as frequent as it would happen earlier. I'm still using it and I'm amazed at how it works. But it definitely does.
