Chamomile Flower Essence

The sweet and relaxing scent and energy of chamomile are hard to resist for most people. Ava chose to create an essence from this flower for its sense of pure innocence and childlike energy.

Excessive seriousness, difficulty relaxing, negativity, moods that are heavy and hard to shake off, irritability, anger, intense temper tantrums, an unwillingness to be consoled, migraines or headaches that get worse from heat or dehydration and better from a cold head compress.

Emotional and spiritual effects

Chamomile has a long history of use by herbalists for anxiety, fears, agitation, and nervousness. In homeopathy, it is used especially with babies and children for teething pain, colic, growing pains, temper tantrums, earaches, and a range of complaints when a person is irritable or angry and does not want to be consoled. Flower essence practitioner David Dalton used chamomile for negativity and grumpiness.

We particularly recommend taking chamomile flower essence to help relax at the end of the day, or taking it before bedtime to help fall asleep easily and assure restful, relaxed sleep free of nightmares. We also recommend chamomile flower essence to anyone who suffers from stress, fears, panic attacks, anxiety, or any type of sleep issues. It is a great essence to keep in the bedroom or bathroom, ready to take before bedtime (or to add to a bath) whenever one wants it or to soothe a child's crankiness. This essence can be taken on an as-needed basis, for shorter periods of time, or as the typical course of treatment for 30 to 40 days.

Physical plane

Chamomile cools heat and we particularly recommend it for headaches and migraines that get better from a cool head compress (one feels dry and hot), and for irritability stemming from excess heat or summer heat, or from pain in the body.

Initially inspired by the thoughts of David Dalton, but also various textbooks of homeopathy and by folk wisdom.

Shake the bottle before each use. Take 3 drops at a time onto the tongue or mixed with water 3–4 times a day, between meals and not with coffee.

Store away from sun exposure, excessive heat or cold, electronics, and strong scents.

Water, gluten-free brandy (from grapes; a preservative), infusion of organically grown chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla). Alcohol 22% by volume.

Keep out of reach of children. Consult your health care practitioner before using if pregnant or nursing.
