Purple Iris Flower Essence

Ava made this iris essence from the bearded Iris germanica species, a self-planted escapist from local gardens. Its flowers are big and heavy, and the color is usually quite a rich, radiant purple. 

Indications

Longing to be more creative or more expressive, creative block, writer's block, feeling artistically unfulfilled or disappointed, struggling with self-criticism, feeling timid or embarrassed when creating, wanting to achieve more depth in one's art.

Emotional and spiritual effects

The iris has long been the symbolic flower of artists, worshiped for ages for its affinity for the artist's soul. Purple iris in particular is the classic choice for strengthening our attunement to the creative part within oneself. The opulence of this flower's energy suggests richness of artistic output. Purple iris has a strong correspondence to the second chakra, the chakra of creativity. It is from this chakra that we create as if allowing something deeply mysterious to be born, something we do not govern by intellect. The yellow elements of this flower point to the third chakra, the center of our individuality, and this chakra is also to some degree involved when we create: a strong third chakra means confidence, decisiveness, and clarity of vision.

This flower essence is powerful enough on its own, and is appropriate for both men and women. Or, consider taking it alongside red poppy to enhance feminine power and individuality, or alongside sunflower essence to enhance self-confidence. If your goal is to create boldly in opposition to trends or prevalent opinions, take purple iris alongside an essence that promotes fierceness and assertiveness, such as bull thistle or motherwort.

Directions 

Shake the bottle before each use. Take 3 drops at a time onto the tongue or mixed with water 3–4 times a day, between meals and not with coffee.

Store away from sun exposure, excessive heat or cold, electronics, and strong scents.

Water, gluten-free brandy (from grapes; a preservative), infusion of wild-grown purple iris (Iris germanica). Alcohol 22% by volume.
