The artemisia variety that grows in the wild in our part of Washington state is Artemisia absinthium. The yellow-green flowers that our herbalist, Ava Zhan, used for this essence look like tiny pin cushions and have a deeply calming and relaxing scent.
Addictive behavior, including non-substance addictions such as addictions to electronics, social media, and TV; overvigilance; a tendency to be high-strung; difficulty relaxing; sleep problems, especially if the sleep is shallow; obsessions; single-mindedness that feels burdensome.
This essence can also be taken as a single dose to induce a creative insight or vision.
Artemisia can be very helpful for those who tend to overload their lives with distractions in the form of social media, Internet browsing, food and drink addictions, sugary sweets, and the like, and can be used to help resolve addictions to narcotics. We recommend it highly for excessive intensity, particularly overvigilance.
It is also a great essence for dreamers, artists, and to help one deepen their psychic skills.
Some flower essence therapists use this essence in their relaxation and sleep blends to facilitate falling asleep and sleeping deeply. David Dalton of Delta Gardens essences, who specializes in treating physical concerns with flower essences, uses the artemisia plant family in blends for clearing blood parasites, and Artemisia absinthium is used in his clinic for assistance with protozoa overgrowth.
Some of our findings were inspired by or are in agreement with David Dalton's clinical research and practice (see the Delta Gardens Flower Essences web site and David's book Stars of the Meadow).

I love their essences. I use this one on my kids. I find they are gradually finding other things to do. Follow the directions and be patient and you will love it!!
