Charting Our Direction for Pacific Northwest Essences
Pacific Northwest Essences has grown and evolved quite a bit over the years, and as we grow, I find myself pausing often to reflect on our goals and to make careful, mindful choices about the direction in which we are moving. With so many changes and so much growth over the past few years, I wanted to take a moment to clarify our current offerings and our intentions for the future.
Our main focus continues to be on producing the highest quality flower, stone, environmental, and animal spirit essences for our clients. We grow some of our plants organically ourselves; others we seek out in the wild in optimal growing and plant-health conditions. I hand-make each and every essence mother tincture myself, so you can always rest assured that your essences have been made by one qualified, experienced, and energetically attuned healer, never by assistants or outside contractors. All our essences are made using spring water purchased in glass bottles, and are carefully stored under optimal conditions based on guidance from expert energy medicine practitioners.
We want to provide a broad range of essences for our clients to use, and we have found that most often, clients are intuitively drawn to one essence or another, often based on the appeal of a particular plant or stone’s appearance. And of course, the same essence can work quite differently on different people at different stages of their own personal journeys. Therefore, as I focus more of my energy on essence-making and on my private consultation practice (more on this below!), I find that I am less focused these days on “proving” essences through lengthy testing and working with volunteer researchers. As a result, you may find that some of our newer essence offerings have fairly minimal descriptions on our website. We encourage our customers to choose remedies guided by their own instinct and intuition, and by their own research about and response to a given plant, mineral, or animal.
Of course, I am always happy to offer advice and guidance around choosing essences, and for clients who would like a guiding hand, or for those with pressing or stubborn wellbeing concerns, I strongly recommend signing up for a comprehensive consultation. In order to offer profound, long-term results, I ideally recommend multiple consultations spaced every five to seven weeks apart. These consultations are most effective when conducted in person or via video chat. Consultation customers not only receive my own extra-concentrated essence blends, fully customized for their unique needs, included with their consultations; they also have access to several well-vetted herbal supplement lines that I represent and carry as an herbalist, including remedies from the Professional Solutions Gaia Herbs line, HerbPharm, and Mayway.
I continue to go deeper and deeper with my classical homeopathy studies, and right now I am studying mollusk, bird, and insect homeopathic remedies, while continuing to deepen my knowledge of plant, mineral, mammal, and spider remedies. In the near future, I plan to tackle the study of remedies made of fungi. Most of my comprehensive consultations use homeopathy and essence healing modalities first and foremost, with secondary support from herbs only when strongly indicated.
Consultations for animal companions are a recent addition to my offerings, and one I plan to focus more on in the future. Just like my consultations for human clients, these consults include a thorough assessment of your animal’s needs and detailed recommendations for homeopathic remedies, essences, herbs, and folk-medicine-based nutritional guidance. Browse the Consultations page on our website for more details on our human and animal consultations.
